Revelstoke Tree House Hotel Master Plan

Inspired by several successful tree house hotels in Europe, the idea was to bring this concept to a hilly, treed bench next to Revelstoke Mountain Resort. With a combination of hotels and tree house accommodation pods, the Tree House Hotel Master Plan was one where integration with the topography, landscape and existing forest was extremely important. Located on Camozzi Road near the former Mount Mackenzie Ski Area Base, the Tree House Hotel Master Plan takes advantage of unique topography to place roads and locate tree house pods with incredible views over the Columbia Valley. The plan also respects existing creeks and drainages, preserves important trees and links the tree house pods to the main accommodation building through a network of trails and walkways, meandering their way through the forest.

The concept plan and renderings were used to guide the development of a Comprehensive Development Zoning application. Following a large public hearing process, the rezoning application was approved by Revelstoke City Council in 2017.
